The task was to develop corporate identity for a company producing and selling materials for lampworking. The company name is Lampwork Store.
Lampworking is a type of glasswork where a torch or lamp is primarily used to melt the glass. Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand movements. Lampworking is used to create artwork, including beads, figurines, marbles, small vessels, Christmas tree ornaments, and much more. It is also used to create scientific instruments as well as glass models of animal and botanical subjects. This short video illustrates how the lampworking process looks.
The solution. The client’s requirements to the design were the following: it should be quite minimalistic, simple and modern. That’s why I turned to the concept of smart logo. I took the image of the mainest lampworking material (it is a glass stick) and incorporated it into the name of the company. Then I designed several options for different purposes, including short logos for using in social media. I also created corporate icons and patterns, picked up the color palette and the fonts, developed general look of the website, made the design of some print materials.
